Alumni Advisory Board Members Needed

4/1/20

Dear Brothers,

We need your help.

I am pleased to report that Iowa State has approved Sigma Alpha Epsilon to begin the process to return to the University as a new colony.  As you may be aware, SAE closed its chapter in Ames in the summer of 2015.

To begin the process of recolonization, the Manager of Expansion for SAE, Grant Maris, is seeking volunteers to help re-establish the chapter at ISU.  The initiative to return to campus will be a joint partnership with the Iowa State faculty, staff, the Interfraternity Council and alumni and friends of Sigma Alpha Epsilon.

The next step in the process is to form an Alumni Advisory Board to support the new colony. Starting in September, we will be eligible to begin recruiting new members on campus.

The purpose of an Alumni Advisory Board is to provide support for the Collegiate Executive Team as they build the foundation for a strong future. We are looking to fill the following roles:

  • Alumni Relations Advisor

  • Chapter Management Advisor

  • Phoenix Member Education Advisor

  • Financial Management Advisor

  • Recruitment Advisor

  • Health and Safety Advisor

  • Ritual Advisor

  • Scholarship Advisor

  • Service and Philanthropy Advisor

  • University Relations/Campus Involvement Advisor

It is during this exciting time that our alumni brothers can be of the most significant support! As such, we would like to personally invite you to serve on the Iowa Gamma Alumni Advisory board. You do not need to be an Iowa Gamma alumnus to be involved.  In fact, it is best to engage alumni from a variety of chapters and to involve friends of Iowa Gamma as well.

This is an exciting development in the life of our fraternity and I urge you to consider lending your support.  If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, please contact Grant as soon as possible.

Your commitment to Sigma Alpha Epsilon is greatly appreciated and I hope you will consider this opportunity to ensure the successful return of the Iowa Gamma Chapter.

Phi Alpha!
